Job Overview
Sovereign Healthcare Group is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to serve as the Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) at a skilled nursing facility in Cinton, MO. This is a dual-role position ideal for a clinically skilled and self-motivated PTA who is ready to step into a leadership role. Travel milage and drive time reimbursement provided between facilities.

In this position, you’ll split your time between hands-on patient care and rehab department management, leading a team of dedicated therapists while helping residents regain their independence and functional ability.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical (PTA):

  • Deliver high-quality, goal-oriented therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Monitor and document patient progress and adjust interventions as appropriate
  • Maintain productivity expectations of approximately 80% clinical care.

Leadership (DOR):

  • Manage daily operations of the rehab department
  • Oversee therapy scheduling, screenings, and staff coordination
  • Attend interdisciplinary meetings and collaborate with facility leadership
  • Promote clinical excellence, compliance, and positive team dynamics
  • Qualifications:
  • Current PTA license in the state of Missouri (required)

Work Location: In person

  • Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead by example
  • Previous DOR or leadership experience is a plus, but not required

Pay: From $34.00 per hour
