Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic PT/Exercise Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support physical therapists and rehabilitation specialists by assisting with patient care, exercise programs, and therapy sessions. Duties
- Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized exercise and rehabilitation programs for patients across various care settings, including hospital, outpatient clinics, and post-acute care facilities
- Support patient intake procedures by preparing treatment areas, gathering necessary equipment, and ensuring patient comfort before therapy sessions
- Monitor and document patient responses during exercises, reporting any concerns or adverse reactions to the supervising therapist
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces, equipment, and supplies to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
- Provide compassionate patient service by offering encouragement, answering basic questions about exercises, and ensuring patients feel supported throughout their treatment journey
- Assist with mobility support and transfer techniques for patients with limited mobility or post-surgical needs
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless coordination of care for both inpatient and outpatient populations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in clinical environments is highly preferred, especially within inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation settings but not required
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and acute care practices relevant to physical therapy
- Demonstrated commitment to patient service and patient care excellence
- Familiarity with orthopedics, geriatrics, and post-acute/sub-acute care is advantageous
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, therapists, and healthcare staff
- Flexibility to work in various clinical environments including inpatient wards and outpatient clinics

Pay: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
