PT/Night/ Non CDL Box Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various tasks related to loading and unloading products. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service. Priority will be given to drivers able to work Saturdays and or Sundays.

Location: Edison, NJ + Tri-State Area

Job Type: Part-Time/Night/ Weekend (1099 Contractor)

Compensation:

$900 - $1,300 per week (Activity-based: route, miles, stops)

What You’ll Do:

• Safely operate a 26ft box truck in Edison, NJ & throughout the Tri-State area
• Follow DOT pre-trip inspections, logs, and FMCSA regulations
• Ensure on-time deliveries and provide excellent customer service
• Efficiently complete assigned routes, maximizing miles, stops, and time
• Stay motivated, run your full clock, and take pride in your work

Duties

• Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for efficient loading and unloading processes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation of goods transported.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, customers, and management regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to avoid injury.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in commercial driving or delivery driving preferred.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
