Overview
We are seeking a skilled PTS Electrician to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have solid electrical experience and be proficient with various hand and power tools. Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations on rail infrastructure
- Testing and fault finding
- Working safely with Network Rail standards
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential electrical hazards or faults
- Use hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters for precise work
- Operate power tools including drills, saws, and grinders safely and effectively
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in compliance with company procedures
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to ensure project deadlines are met
ESSENTIAL
- Valid PTS (personal track safety)
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical installation
- 18th Edition
- Gold card
- Rail medical & drug and alcohol test in date
- Right to work in the UK

Skills
- Proven electrical experience with a strong understanding of electrical systems and components
- Proficiency in using hand tools essential for electrical work
- Skilled in operating various power tools safely and efficiently
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately
