We automate the entire bundled contribution workflow — contributor coordination, FPPC limit verification, and compliance documentation — replacing the spreadsheets, email chains, and legal review that trade associations, lobbying firms, and PACs currently rely on to run their bundling programs.

The Role

We are looking for a part-time business development associate with a public affairs background and existing relationships in California state politics. This is a relationship role — not a cold-calling role. The right person understands how bundled fundraising works, knows the trade associations and lobbying firms running active California legislative programs, and has the credibility to walk into those offices and start a real conversation.

What You Will Do

• Introduce Stoa to trade associations, lobbying firms, and PACs running bundled contribution programs at the California state level
• Facilitate introductions to government affairs directors, PAC managers, and campaign treasurers
• Represent Stoa at political and public affairs events in Sacramento
• Provide market intelligence and feedback to inform product development
• Support early customer relationships through onboarding

Who You Are

• Background in public affairs, government relations, political consulting, or campaign finance
• Existing relationships with California state trade associations, lobbying firms, or political campaigns — Sacramento relationships are essential
• Familiar with bundling, PAC operations, and FPPC compliance at a working level
• Self-directed and comfortable operating as an early member of a lean team
• Based in California

Compensation

Commission-based. $500 per account that signs up and completes their first bundle. Designed to work alongside existing public affairs or consulting commitments.
