Public Relations and Marketing Intern- Summer 2026

On The Marc Media is currently seeking forward-thinking interns to join our team. We’re a fun, yet fast-paced, public relations and marketing agency located right outside of Washington, D.C. in Rockville, MD. Our interns gain relevant communications experience by working hands-on with our clients, representing a wide array of industries. This internship program is for academic credit only. Ideal candidates are juniors or seniors in college, available weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM ET.

Timeline:

• This internship has a tentative timeline of May 1, 2026 to August 1, 2026.
• Candidates should be available to work remotely 2–3 days per week from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM ET.

REQUIRED:

• Candidates must obtain academic credit for this internship.
• Must be juniors or seniors in college with past experience in communications, public relations, marketing, social media or related fields.
• Proficient in Google applications (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, etc.)
• Proficient in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite

Intern Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance with the execution of PR, marketing and social media strategies and campaigns for clients
• Conduct detailed research
• Brainstorm engaging media pitch topics
• Build media and podcast pitching lists
• Write blogs on various topics
• Brainstorm social media campaign ideas
• Develop and maintain content and editorial calendars
• Draft succinct social media copy and other written content
• Support client's and company’s social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Youtube, TikTok, Clubhouse
• Create high-quality social media videos and graphics using Canva
• Perform routine administrative tasks
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Portfolio of work demonstrating past experience in communications, public relations, marketing, social media or related fields
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Exceptional attention to details
