Overview


The Public Relations & Communications Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping and amplifying our clients’ public presence. This position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive PR strategies that elevate client brands through media outreach, award recognition, crisis communication, and event promotion. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and collaborating with cross functional teams, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring their stories are shared with impact across the right channels.


By securing meaningful media placements, guiding crisis response, and leading PR initiatives, this role strengthens client credibility, supports their business goals, and ensures their voices are heard across both B2B and B2C businesses in numerous industries.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute PR strategies and campaigns for a diverse client portfolio across B2B and B2C businesses.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, award submissions, and thought leadership content that reflect client excellence.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to secure high-value coverage.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for crisis communications, preparing proactive response plans and guiding real-time messaging.
  • Plan, promote, and support client events, sponsorships, and community engagement initiatives that enhance visibility and impact.
  • Monitor media mentions, track performance, and deliver insights to optimize PR strategies.
  • Partner with internal creative, digital, and strategy teams to deliver integrated campaigns that amplify client outcomes.
  • Stay ahead of industry, media, and PR trends to provide innovative recommendations and strategies.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in public relations, communications, or a related field (agency experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated success managing both B2B and B2C PR efforts.
  • Proven expertise in crisis communication strategy and execution.
  • Experience in event promotion and coordination, with strong organizational and logistics management skills.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong media relationships and proven ability to secure impactful placements.
  • Familiarity with PR tools and platforms such as PR Newswire, Cision, or Meltwater.
