Job Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, Missouri Learning Standards-aligned instruction in public speaking and oral communication
- Teach speech preparation, organization, delivery, and persuasive techniques
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that builds student confidence
- Design and assess a variety of presentations and speeches
- Provide constructive feedback and differentiate instruction for diverse learners
- Integrate technology to enhance student presentations
- Maintain accurate student records and uphold classroom expectations
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with families
- Participate in professional development and school activities
- Model professional communication aligned with the school’s mission
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communications, English, or related field required; Master’s preferred
- At least two years of secondary teaching experience preferred
- Strong classroom management, instructional, and communication skills
- Proficiency with instructional technology and learning management systems
- Commitment to student success, collaboration, and the school’s mission
