Public Transit and Non-Emergency Medical Transport Drivers

Job Summary
Tri River Transit is currently seeking dependable, safety-focused individuals to join our team as Public Transit and Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Drivers. If you enjoy helping others and making a difference in your community, this is a rewarding opportunity to serve residents who rely on transportation every day.

Position Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a variety of transit buses or vans on assigned routes
  • Provide transportation for the general public and medical appointments
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are mechanically sound, clean, and fully equipped for service
  • Assist passengers, including seniors and individuals with disabilities
  • Ensure passengers follow safety policies (seat belts, secure mobility devices)
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and team members to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and any special accommodations needed
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete required reports

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Dependable and punctual

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
