Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Pulmonary and Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA), to join our dedicated healthcare team in Louisville, KY and Corydon, IN. This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across a variety of settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and emergency situations. The APP will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to provide expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with complex pulmonary and critical illnesses. This position emphasizes clinical excellence, innovative care delivery, and active participation in research initiatives to advance respiratory and critical care practices.
Duties
- Manage acute and chronic pulmonary conditions such as COPD, asthma, pneumonia, and interstitial lung diseases.
- Provide critical care interventions in ICU settings, including ventilator management, airway management, and hemodynamic stabilization.
- Perform procedures including thoracentesis, arterial line placement, central line placement, and intubations. Prior experience with procedures preferred, but not required.
- Inpatient EHR is Cerner, outpatient EHR is Veradigm (formerly Allscripts)
- 4-5 bed ICU, ~25 bed hospital
- Expect to see ICU patients and inpatient pulmonary consults in the morning, +/- clinic in the afternoon
- Expect about 3 half day clinics per week (in the afternoon), likely will see 5-10 patients per half day clinic (less in the beginning) but this can be modified based on prior clinical experience and efficiency in clinic.
- Prior experience in critical care environments/ICU preferred
- Prior hospital medicine or emergency medicine/ICU experience is preferred; familiarity with inpatient medical-surgical units is advantageous.
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- No night call, no weekend coverage. Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30 pm
- Non-competes: There is none. Provider can work elsewhere as long as does not interfere with stated job.
Salary
- Base salary range is $125k-140k per year based on experience
- Bonus structure is based on net collections, estimated to make ~$10k-$15k based on productivity
