Key Responsibilities1. Procurement & Purchasing

  • Identify reliable suppliers and obtain quotations as per the organization’s requirements.
  • Evaluate price, quality, delivery terms, and service support before finalizing purchases.
  • Raise Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure they comply with approved requisitions.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.

2. Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Conduct vendor evaluation and performance reviews periodically.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with suppliers.
  • Resolve supplier issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.

3. Cost Control

  • Ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising quality.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Prepare cost comparison sheets and submit for management approval.

4. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and updated purchasing records, price lists, and supplier databases.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with the finance department for invoice processing and payment follow-ups.

5. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with stores, production, accounts, and logistics teams to forecast needs.
  • Track and follow up orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Report purchase status, vendor issues, and market changes to management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1–5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing (depending on company requirements)
  • Experience in — industry (optional to specify)
  • Knowledge of procurement laws and vendor management principles

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
