Key responsibilities
- Supplier management: Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with suppliers. Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery terms to achieve cost-effective and high-quality procurement.
- Procurement process: Manage the entire purchasing cycle, from creating and sending purchase orders to tracking deliveries and ensuring the quality of received goods.
- Inventory control: Monitor stock levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking. Collaborate with other teams to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
- Cost and budget management: Track purchasing expenses, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities for cost savings to stay within budget.
- Record keeping and reporting: Maintain accurate records of all purchases, including vendor details, pricing, and delivery information. Prepare reports on procurement activities and expenditures.
- Issue resolution: Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues with orders, deliveries, or damaged goods.
