Experience: 4 to 5+ Years (Machine Tool / Precision Engineering Sector)
Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
1. Procurement Operations
- Source and procure aluminum sand castings, heavy fabricated structures, precision machined parts, and standard bought-out items as per the Bill of Materials (BOM) and engineering drawings.
- Float RFQs (Request for Quotations), analyze techno-commercial offers, and prepare comparative statements for management approval.
- Negotiate with suppliers for best prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules while maintaining quality standards.
- Issue and manage purchase orders through ERP/MRP systems and ensure timely order execution.
- Ensure strong material follow-up to maintain uninterrupted production flow.
2. Vendor Development & Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for casting, fabrication, machining, and sheet metal components.
- Conduct vendor audits to assess manufacturing capability, quality systems, and compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
- Build long-term strategic relationships with key vendors for sustainable supply chain performance.
Technical Expertise
- Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, tolerances, and machining specifications.
- Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes, including casting (aluminum sand casting), heavy fabrication, and precision machining.
- Work closely with design and production teams to understand material specifications and support value engineering initiatives.
- Evaluate manufacturing cost structures to support cost estimation and cost reduction.
4. Logistics & Material Handling
- Handle indoor and outdoor logistics related to raw material movement, supplier dispatches, and customer deliveries.
- Coordinate transportation, dispatch planning, and tracking of materials from suppliers to plant.
- Ensure proper documentation, packaging, and compliance for inbound and outbound logistics.
- Manage third-party logistics service providers and ensure cost-effective transportation.
5. Cost Management & Savings
- Execute cost reduction projects through alternate sourcing, process optimization, and value engineering.
- Prepare cost analysis and spend reports to identify saving opportunities.
- Continuously monitor market trends for material pricing and negotiate competitive rates.
- Contribute to achieving the department’s annual cost-saving targets.
6. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain procurement data, price history, and supplier performance records in ERP systems.
- Prepare and analyze MIS reports, purchase summaries, and cost tracking dashboards.
- Utilize Advanced MS Excel and Power BI for data analysis, visualization, and reporting to management.
7. ISO 9001:2015 Compliance
- Ensure all procurement processes comply with ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements.
- Maintain procurement-related documentation, records, and traceability as per ISO standards.
8. Coordination & Teamwork
- Collaborate with Design, Planning, Production, Quality, and Stores departments to ensure seamless material flow.
- Support cross-functional teams in resolving supplier quality or delivery issues.
- Actively participate in team meetings, supplier review sessions, and process improvement discussions.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of Aluminum Sand Casting, Heavy Fabrication, and Precision Machining processes.
- Excellent vendor development, negotiation, and material follow-up skills.
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros), and Power BI.
- Good knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain coordination.
- Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 documentation and audit requirements.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
