Purchase Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Assistant to support our procurement team in managing day-to-day purchasing activities. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, supplies, and services while maintaining strong vendor relationships and accurate records. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the procurement of goods and services by preparing purchase orders and verifying order details.
  • Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse/operations team to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Track purchase orders, follow up with vendors, and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, invoices, and supplier contracts.
  • Support the preparation of cost analyses and purchasing reports for management.
  • Coordinate with finance to ensure timely payments and resolve invoice queries.
  • Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to recommend improvements.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Purchase Assistant, Procurement Officer, or similar role.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Female candidates from Kerala most preferred.

Pay: Up to AED2,000.00 per month

  • Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
