Job Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing and vendor development for engineering items and spare parts, including consumables such as pumps, valves, pipes and fittings, structural steel, and related services.
- Identify and select suitable suppliers for issuing enquiries.
- Review and verify requisitions and purchase indents.
- Issue enquiries/tenders and obtain quotations from vendors.
- Analyse quotations and bids, and prepare comparative statements (quotation analysis charts).
- Coordinate with the concerned department (Indenter) for evaluation, selection, and obtain HOD approval for final quotations.
- Review and ensure compliance with legal and contractual terms and conditions.
- Handle RFQs, quotations, techno-commercial negotiations, and prepare purchase orders (POs) for approval.
- Ensure timely receipt of materials and services, and process advance payments as required.
- Manage rejection and replacement of defective materials.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials to the factory.
- Handle bill booking and payment processing.
- Maintain knowledge of AMC, ARC, and GST compliances.
- Possess knowledge and experience in process equipment such as reactors, boilers, heat exchangers, and distillation columns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Any graduation for AMC purchase, BE Mechanical for Engineering Purchase.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- High attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and purchase cycles simultaneously
