Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing & Procurement: Identify suppliers, request quotes (RFQs), compare pricing, and place purchase orders for fabrication materials (steel, pipes, structural shapes).
  • Vendor Management: Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and resolve discrepancies in shipments or quality.
  • Logistics & Tracking: Coordinate with vendors to track orders and ensure on-time delivery to job sites or factory warehouses.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor raw material inventory levels to avoid production shortages or excessive stock.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed, accurate records of purchases, invoices, and vendor contracts. Review invoices for accuracy and process them for payment.
  • Support: Assist purchasing managers with reports, data entry, and bid analysis. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Previous experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing, construction, or fabrication facility is highly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with raw materials like structural steel, pipe fittings, and small tools.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel), strong negotiation skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering is often preferred, but not always required if equivalent experience exists. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 per month
