Purchase Electrical Engineer – Automation Industry

Position: Purchase Electrical Engineer
Industry: Industrial Automation / Manufacturing
Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Manufacturing Industries (Required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle procurement of electrical and automation components
• Vendor identification, evaluation, and development
• Preparation of RFQs, comparison statements, and purchase orders
• Negotiation of price, delivery terms, and contracts
• Ensure timely procurement of PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, panels, cables, etc.
• Coordinate with design and project teams for technical specifications
• Maintain inventory control and cost optimization
• Ensure quality compliance and documentation

Required Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical & automation components
• Experience in manufacturing industry procurement
• Vendor management and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle preferred)
• Good communication and analytical skills

Preferred:

• Experience in automation project purchasing
• Knowledge of import/export procedures
• Strong cost analysis capability
