Purchase Engineer

Job Title: Purchase EngineerLocation: Makarpura GIDC, VadodaraDepartment: Purchase / ProcurementExperience Required: 1–3 Years (Relevant Industry Preferred)Job Summary:

The Purchase Engineer will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring engineering materials, components, and services required for company operations. The role includes vendor management, cost negotiation, and ensuring timely procurement to support production and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, source, and evaluate suppliers for engineering materials, equipment, and consumables.
• Request and compare quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely procurement based on production/project needs.
• Maintain and update vendor records, contracts, and purchase documentation.
• Coordinate with stores, production, maintenance, and finance teams for requirements and follow-ups.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, timeliness, and service.
• Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards and technical specifications.
• Track inventory levels and avoid material shortages or excess stock.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and MIS as required.
• Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and commercial terms.

Required Skills:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of procurement lifecycle and vendor management.
• Familiarity with engineering materials, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Basic understanding of taxation, commercial terms, and logistics (GST, freight, warranty).
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, or purchase management software.

Qualification:

• Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, related engineering field.

Salary: As per company norms (Add Range if required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
