Purchase Engineer

Position: Purchase Engineer
Location: Makarpura GIDC, Vadodara, Gujarat

Experience: 5–10 years
Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or BE Mechanical

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, components and services required for manufacturing automation, instrumentation, and machinery systems.
• Evaluate vendor quotations, negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards.
• Maintain vendor database, track vendor performance and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams to match procurement with project requirements and production schedules.
• Maintain inventory records, forecast material requirements and avoid shortages.
• Ensure procurement documentation, purchase orders, and compliance with internal quality and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Qualities

• Strong knowledge of mechanical components, industrial automation, and instrumentation parts.
• Good negotiation, vendor management and cost‑control skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings / specifications to match required parts.
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate among procurement, engineering, and production teams.
• Proficient in maintaining records, following procurement processes, and ensuring timely supply chain flows.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
