Purchase Engineer (Electrical)

Location: Mulund
Experience: 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in purchase of electrical components
Education Qualification: Diploma (Electrical) or Degree (Electrical)

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee and optimize our procurement processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, vendor management, and ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sourcing and Procurement Strategies

  • Design, plan, and implement sourcing and purchasing strategies in alignment with company norms and project requirements.
  • Search and source potential suppliers and vendors while ensuring adherence to company terms and conditions.

2. Supplier and Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a reliable supply chain.
  • Maintain a database of approved suppliers and identify ideal suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers to achieve favourable terms without compromising quality.

3. Purchasing Process Management

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including floating RFQs, preparing comparisons, conducting negotiations, placing orders, and following up on deliveries.
  • Handle the complete procure-to-pay process for project-related purchases.

4. Cost and Quality Optimization

  • Negotiate pricing to reduce costs while maintaining product quality and company standards.
  • Analyse project expenditures, track costs, and provide purchase-related reports to upper management.

5. Process Improvement

  • Evaluate existing purchasing processes for self and departmental performance.
  • Implement improvements to purchasing processes and delivery systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

6. Compliance and Reporting

  • Adhere to organizational rules, regulations, and policies for all procurement-related activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management regarding project purchases and vendor performance.

Required Skills

  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Analytical mind-set with a focus on cost control and process improvement.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and relevant tools is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
