Job Title: Purchase Engineer (Vendor Development & Quality)

Location: Odhav, Ahmedabad
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. (Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering)
Experience & Salary:

• Junior Purchase Engineer: 2–3 years | ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month
• Senior Purchase Engineer: 4–6 years | ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month

Job Summary:

We are looking for Diploma / BE (Mechanical or related) candidates for Purchase & Vendor Development roles. The position includes market/vendor visits, sourcing, price negotiation, and basic quality inspection using measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, source and develop new vendors from the market.
• Handle end-to-end purchase activities: inquiries, quotations, negotiations, and order follow-ups.
• Conduct basic quality checks using instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, etc.).
• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to ensure smooth supply of materials.
• Maintain vendor records, evaluate performance and support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical components.
• Good knowledge of vendor development & local market sourcing.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Email, ERP preferred).

Willingness to travel for market/vendor visits.
