To manage the purchasing activities and develop strong relationships with vendors to ensure a reliable supply of quality materials.
Skills Required:
· Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
· Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management
· Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
· Proficiency in procurement software
· Analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
· Manage purchasing activities and vendor relationships
· Develop and implement vendor development strategies
· Assess vendor’s infrastructure, quality and financial capacity
· Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers
· Monitor supplier performance and address any issues
· Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
Authorities:
· Approve purchase orders and requisitions
· Select and evaluate suppliers
· Develop and implement vendor improvement plans
Reporting Relationships:
· Reports to: Purchase Manager
Key Results Expected:
· Reliable supply of quality materials
· Strong vendor relationships and performance
· Efficient and compliant procurement processes
Key Performance Matrix:
· Vendor rating to be more than 95% on Quality, Cost, Delivery and Service parameters
· Minimum 10% cost savings from new vendor, without affecting the specification or quality
· Development of vendors as per the quarterly plan
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
