Job Summary

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for procuring goods, materials, services, and supplies essential for the company’s skill & education operations. This role requires negotiation, supplier management, cost control, and ensuring timely delivery of quality items. He will interface with internal stakeholders (trainers, operations, admin) to understand requirements and ensure procurement aligns with budget and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors/suppliers for educational materials, equipment, stationery, and other required supplies.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Raise purchase orders, track status, follow up on delivery, inspect quality on receipt.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, monitor performance, ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Manage procurement documentation: quotations, invoices, purchase orders, contracts.
  • Liaise with internal teams (training, admin, finance) to assess procurement needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and suggest reorder points to avoid stockouts.
  • Manage procurement budget; aim for cost savings and quality improvements.
  • Maintain procurement records and generate regular reports (costs, supplier performance, delays etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and quality standards relevant in education industry.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related field.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years experience in purchasing / procurement in a similar environment (education or related field preferred).
  • Strong negotiation & communication skills.
  • Good understanding of vendor/supplier management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) – ability to handle cost sheets, comparisons, etc.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work under deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation.
  • Knowledge of inventory management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with procurement software or ERP tools is an advantage.

Reporting

Reports to: Purchase Manager / Operations Head

Compensation

  • Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,918.69 - ₹30,000.00 per month
