Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable deals.
  • Procurement: Identify and procure goods, services, and equipment needed by the organization.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze costs, identify potential savings, and implement cost-reduction measures.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement, such as supply chain disruptions or quality issues.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities.
