Key responsibilities

  • Vendor and supplier management: Research, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. Negotiate contracts and maintain positive relationships with vendors.

Procurement and purchasing:

  • Identify the school's needs by coordinating with different departments.
  • Process purchase orders and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
  • Verify received goods against orders and inspect for quality.

Budget and cost control:

  • Ensure all purchases comply with the school's budget.
  • Prepare cost analyses and reports on purchases.
  • Implement strategies for cost optimization.

Inventory and record-keeping:

  • Maintain updated records of all purchased items, delivery information, and invoices.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff for proper storage of items.

Reporting and strategy:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies.
  • Generate reports on purchasing activities to track performance and KPIs.

Key skills and qualifications

  • Proven experience in purchasing, with strong vendor sourcing and evaluation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using purchasing software and standard office software.
  • Analytical skills for cost analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to understand supply chain procedures.
  • Knowledge of school operations and compliance with educational codes and regulations is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
