Job Description:

The position holder will be responsible for the coordination of a wide variety of purchasing activities as well as general supervision of purchasing assistants. To ensure effective management procurement of materials and services, negotiating cost reductions and implementation of contracts with suppliers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Maintain records of goods ordered and received.

· Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.

· Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.

· Control purchasing department budgets.

· Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.

· Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.

· Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.

· Maintain the inward & outward record of material from the store.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

· Any graduate with good computer and communication skills.

· Minimum 2 years of experience required in Purchase Assistant, in Air Compressors or any other industrial product.

· Technical educational background will have an added advantage.

Preferred Skills:

· Excellent negotiation and supplier management

· Attention to detail with systematic documentation

· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic work environment

· Working knowledge of inventory flow and procurement processes

· Team player with a problem-solving attitude

· Familiar with local/national supplier networks

· Basic knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi, and English

Candidates from Naroda or nearby areas.
