Key responsibilities
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers, while building and maintaining strong relationships with existing ones.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to get the best value for the company.
- Procurement and Ordering: Create and process purchase orders, collate requisitions, and place orders as needed based on inventory levels.
- Quality Control: Ensure that purchased products and services meet the company's quality standards.
- Logistics and Delivery: Track orders, ensure timely delivery, and handle any issues with non-supplied, under-, or over-ordered goods, or damaged items.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and work with departments to ensure sufficient materials are available without excess.
- Financial Management: Prepare cost estimates and reports, conduct cost analyses, monitor budget adherence, and ensure invoices are sent to accounts for payment.
- Reporting: Produce and maintain all necessary reports, including those on purchases, cost analyses, and order status.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement transactions comply with company policies and regulations.
