Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors/suppliers for electrical and construction materials.
- Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotation), compare quotations, and negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment terms.
- Create purchase orders (POs) and follow up with vendors for timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain purchase records, price lists, and supplier databases.
- Coordinate with project/site teams to understand material requirements and ensure availability as per project timelines.
- Check quality of materials received and ensure they meet technical specifications.
- Manage inventory levels and track material consumption.
- Resolve issues related to material shortages, delays, or vendor performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with electrical material suppliers and contractors.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policy and budget.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field (preferred).
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in purchase/procurement, especially in the construction or electrical industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials (wires, panels, switchgear, cables, fittings, etc.).
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Email, ERP, or purchase management software.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of vendor management.
- Understanding of construction site material flow.
- Ability to travel to vendors/site (if needed).
- Good analytical & documentation skills.
