1. MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) Procurement
- Identify, source, and procure spares, consumables, tools, and equipment required for maintenance activities.
- Handle procurement of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility spares (pumps, valves, bearings, motors, sensors, belts, lubricants, etc.).
- Ensure timely availability of maintenance items to avoid machine breakdown or production stoppage.
- Issue RFQs, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate prices, delivery time, and warranty terms.
- Coordinate with maintenance team to understand technical specifications and urgency level.
- Develop alternate suppliers to reduce cost and improve availability.
2. Vendor Management
- Identify new vendors and maintain an approved vendor list for MRO items.
- Conduct vendor evaluation on Quality, Cost, Delivery, Support (QCDS) parameters.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers for emergency/critical spares.
- Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or invoice discrepancies.
3. Inventory & Store Coordination
- Monitor inventory levels of MRO items and initiate purchase to maintain minimum stock.
- Work with the stores team for GRN creation, stock verification, and material inspection.
- Reduce slow-moving/obsolete spares through proper planning and vendor coordination.
4. Logistics & Transport Management
- Manage logistics for incoming and outgoing materials, including MRO items, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Identify and finalize transporters for cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Track shipments, coordinate dispatch schedules, and handle unforeseen delays.
- Ensure compliance with transport documentation, e-way bills, and regulatory guidelines.
- Optimize freight cost through route planning, load optimization, and vendor negotiation
