Job description
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain best prices and terms.
- Create and process purchase orders (POs) in the system.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and follow up with vendors on order status.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information.
- Coordinate with internal departments (inventory, production, accounts) to determine purchasing needs.
- Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost control strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
