Job Description:

Job Title: Purchase Executive

Job Summary

The Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement process, from supplier identification to contract management, ensuring cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and supporting business operations. They play a crucial role in optimizing supply chain efficiency and contributing to organizational profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value for goods and services

Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance metrics

Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities

Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies

Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and specifications

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while managing contracts and agreements

Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock management

Analyze spending patterns and implement cost reduction initiatives

Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting

Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices

Understanding of contract law, negotiation techniques, and vendor management

Familiarity with quality management systems and compliance requirements

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills for supplier interactions

Ability to present procurement strategies and recommendations to management

Cross-functional collaboration skills with internal stakeholders

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

Strong analytical thinking for supplier evaluation and cost analysis

Ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues and bottlenecks

Data-driven decision-making capabilities for procurement optimization

Critical thinking skills for risk assessment and mitigation

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Professional certifications such as CPIM, CPSM, or APICS (preferred)

Additional qualifications in procurement, logistics, or operations management

Experience

2-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management

Experience with supplier negotiations, contract management, and vendor relations

Background in relevant industry sectors (manufacturing, retail, healthcare, etc.)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000 per month

Schedule : Day shift

Supplemental pay types : Yearly bonus

Language : English , Hindi

Ability to Relocate: Mohali, Punjab: Relocate before starting work (Required)
