Job Title: Purchase Assistant
Industry: Industrial Construction
Location: As per project / Head Office
Experience: 2 to 5 Years (preferred)
Job Description
We are an Industrial Construction company looking for a Purchase Assistant to support the procurement team in sourcing materials, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely availability of construction materials at site.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in procurement of construction materials, MEP items, consumables, and tools as per project requirements
Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO) and follow up for approvals
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and site teams for material specifications and delivery schedules
Obtain quotations, comparative statements, and assist in vendor finalization
Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites as per construction schedule
Maintain purchase records, invoices, delivery challans, and GRN
Coordinate with accounts department for bill verification and payment processing
Monitor material stock levels and support inventory control
Ensure procurement as per company policies, budget, and quality standards
Support audits and maintain proper documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Supply Chain
Experience in Industrial / Infrastructure / EPC / Construction procurement
Knowledge of construction materials, MEP items, and vendor management
Basic understanding of GST, billing, and documentation
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP / Purchase software
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple sites
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
