Purchase Executive /Buyer

Job description:

- Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers in the open market (independent distributors, brokers, traders).

- Source hard-to-find, obsolete, shortage, and excess inventory components.

- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

- Validate supplier credibility and implement anti-counterfeit checks (X-ray, electrical tests, C of C, traceability).

- Respond to RFQs from clients with speed and accuracy.

- Work closely with sales and procurement teams to support urgent requirements.

- Track market trends, shortages, and pricing opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 5+ years in open market / independent distribution sourcing.

- Network of suppliers across Asia (HK, Shenzhen, Singapore), US, EU, Middle East.

- Knowledge of platforms like BrokerBin, NetComponents, FindChips, Octopart.

- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

- Understanding of counterfeit risk, component testing, and quality assurance standards (AS6081, ISO).

- Ability to work under pressure with urgent timelines
