Key responsibilities
- Supplier management: Research and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with them.
- Procurement process: Prepare purchase requisitions and orders, and ensure they are processed efficiently.
- Quality and compliance: Ensure all purchased materials meet the company's quality standards and that procurement aligns with company policies and regulations.
- Logistics and delivery: Track orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and coordinate with the warehouse for proper storage.
- Cost and inventory control: Monitor stock levels, minimize stockouts, and prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
- Record keeping: Maintain up-to-date records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.
