Purchase Executive (Construction company)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced PURCHASE EXECUTIVE to manage procurement of construction materials, machinery, subcontract services, and vendor development. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, price negotiation, purchase planning, inventory coordination, and ensuring timely delivery to project sites while maintaining quality and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute material procurement plans based on project requirements
• Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors/suppliers
• Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain purchase records
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to multiple project sites
• Maintain stock levels and coordinate with store and site engineers
• Monitor market price trends and availability of materials
• Ensure quality of materials as per BOQ/specification
• Handle rate comparison, cost analysis & budget control
• Coordinate with accounts for bills, GRN, and payment follow-ups
• Monitor supplier performance & resolve delivery issues
• Ensure compliance with company policies, GST billing and documentation
• Manage procurement of:
• Cement, steel, aggregates, bricks, blocks
• Electrical, plumbing, sanitary materials
• Hardware, paints, finishing materials
• Construction machinery hire & consumables

Educational Qualification

• Any Graduate / Diploma / BE (Civil or related field preferred)
• MBA in Supply Chain Management (added advantage)

Experience Required

• 4-8 years of experience in construction industry purchasing
• Experience in building, infrastructure, or real estate projects
• Hands-on experience in:
• Vendor management
• Bulk material procurement
• ERP/Tally/MS Excel purchase entry
• BOQ/material planning

Key Skills Required

• Strong negotiation & communication skills
• Knowledge of construction materials & specifications
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally/ERP systems
• Ability to handle multiple site procurement
• Strong analytical and cost-control ability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
