Role Summary
The Purchase Executive – Corporate Interiors is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring all materials, services, and subcontracted items required for corporate interior fit-out projects. The role ensures timely procurement of high-quality materials—such as plywood, laminates, hardware, glass, electrical items, lighting, loose furniture, and modular systems—at the most competitive prices while coordinating closely with the design, project execution, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Interior-Specific Procurement & Sourcing
- Source and evaluate suppliers for interior fit-out materials (plywood, laminates, veneers, hardware, glass, gypsum, paints, carpets, floor finishes, electrical fixtures, HVAC components, modular furniture, etc.).
- Understand material specifications, drawings, and BOQs to ensure correct sourcing and technical compliance.
- Develop alternative vendor options for cost-effective and quality materials.
2. Purchase Order Management
- Request and compare quotations for materials, services, and subcontracting.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, credit cycles, and delivery schedules.
- Process accurate and timely Purchase Orders (POs) based on project requirements.
- Track PO status and follow up for on-time deliveries to project sites.
3. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination
- Maintain strong vendor relationships across interior material suppliers, manufacturers, and service contractors (civil, carpentry, modular furniture, MEP, glass, fabrication, etc.).
- Evaluate vendor performance on price, quality, and delivery commitment.
- Resolve delays, quality issues, and shortages in coordination with vendors and site teams.
4. Material Planning & Site Coordination
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and design teams to understand material requirements and urgency.
- Monitor material usage at sites and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to fast-track corporate interior sites.
5. Cost Control & Optimization
- Maintain updated price lists for interior materials and services.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through bulk buying, seasonal pricing, or alternate materials.
- Support budgeting, cost estimation, and project cost control activities.
6. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain detailed records of POs, quotations, vendor agreements, price comparisons, and procurement reports.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with accounts for invoice processing and vendor payments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–6 years of procurement experience, preferably in corporate interior fit-outs, furniture, construction, or contracting.
- Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, joinery, and MEP accessories.
- Experience with ERP / procurement software preferred.
Skills & Competencies
