Purchase Executive will assist in procuring raw materials, capital goods (including plant & machinery), and IT hardware/consumables in a cost-effective and timely manner. The role supports overall production requirements while meeting targets related to cost, delivery timelines, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Sourcing

  • Assist in sourcing electronics, electro-mechanical, mechanical, IT, and infrastructure-related materials from international, national, and local suppliers.
  • Support negotiations with vendors to achieve better prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and alternate sourcing.

2. Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend new vendors to strengthen the supplier base.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with existing and new suppliers.
  • Maintain complete procurement documentation as per ISO 9001 & ISO 27001 requirements.

3. Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare and share MIS reports related to procurement costs, timelines, and delivery status with management.
  • Coordinate repair and maintenance activities for infrastructure, plant & machinery, and other works.
  • Support periodic calibration of test & measurement instruments, test jigs, and fixtures.
  • Coordinate with IT & Telecom service providers for service, billing, and support-related issues.

4. Daily Operational Tasks

  • Procure raw materials as per the Bill of Material (BOM) for electronics, mechanical, and electro-mechanical components.
  • Conduct vendor price comparisons and track delivery performance.
  • Collect and analyze market intelligence related to suppliers and product pricing.
  • Send daily progress reports to the supervisor, listing completed tasks and upcoming activities.
  • Support the R&D team by sourcing low-volume components as required.
  • Identify alternative components for obsolete or hard-to-find items.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Electronics.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement within an electronic products manufacturing industry.
  • Proactive, independent, and able to work within defined timelines.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written); ability to write clear emails to vendors.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Tally/ERP or similar tools.
  • Ability to maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Experience in companies dealing with defence electronics will be an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
