Key responsibilities

  • Supplier management: Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with suppliers for technical components and materials.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
  • Procurement: Manage the purchase order process and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Coordination: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to understand material requirements and avoid delays.
  • Inventory control: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with teams to forecast future needs.
  • Performance monitoring: Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost analysis, and market trends.

Required qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field; a diploma is also sometimes acceptable.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a procurement role, preferably within the manufacturing, mechanical, or engineering industry.
  • Technical knowledge: Ability to understand technical requirements, read engineering documents, and knowledge of manufacturing processes is often preferred.
  • Software proficiency: Experience with ERP systems or other procurement software is often required.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 per month
