Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement and Purchasing

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to achieve cost savings.
  • Maintain and update supplier information and purchase records.

2. Vendor Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors.
  • Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and service.
  • Resolve issues related to defective or delayed supplies.
  • Conduct periodic supplier evaluations and audits.

3. Inventory and Material Management

  • Coordinate with the stores and production departments to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Track and forecast inventory requirements to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Verify that all materials received meet the required specifications and quality standards.

4. Documentation and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities, price trends, and supplier performance.

5. Coordination and Communication

  • Collaborate with departments (production, finance, logistics, etc.) to understand purchasing needs.
  • Liaise with finance for timely payments and budget adherence.
  • Communicate purchase order status and expected delivery timelines to relevant teams.

6. Cost and Budget Control

  • Monitor purchase budgets and help in reducing procurement costs.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost-effective purchasing.

7. Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated with new suppliers, market trends, and procurement technologies.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency and supplier reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Business Administration or Commerce
  • 2 + years of experience in Purchase Department.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities..

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
