The Purchase Field Executive is responsible for handling day-to-day procurement activities, vendor coordination, field purchases, material follow-ups, and ensuring timely delivery of materials required for projects and office operations. The role involves frequent market visits, negotiation with suppliers, and coordination with site and accounts teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit local markets and suppliers for procurement of materials as per purchase requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, delivery timelines, and payment terms to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Collect quotations and submit comparative statements for approval.
- Place purchase orders after approval and follow up for timely delivery.
- Coordinate with site engineers, store, and project teams regarding material requirements.
- Ensure quality and quantity of materials received as per specifications.
- Maintain purchase records, bills, delivery challans, and related documentation.
- Submit bills and supporting documents to the accounts department for payment processing.
- Handle emergency and urgent purchases as required by management or project teams.
- Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and availability of materials.
- Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and procedures.
