Purchase Head – WhatNot

Job Overview

WhatNot is seeking an experienced Purchase Head to lead procurement operations for electronics products. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, supplier management experience, and a deep understanding of electronics sourcing in D2C or distribution environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a procurement strategy for electronics products
• Lead supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms
• Manage vendor selection, evaluation, and performance monitoring
• Drive cost optimisation and total cost of ownership initiatives
• Conduct spend analysis and monitor market trends
• Manage supply chain risks, compliance, and ethical sourcing
• Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, and anti-ageing strategies
• Maintain ERP systems and procurement tools
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Logistics teams
• Monitor inventory cycles and prevent stockouts/overstock

Experience & Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in electronics procurement
• Minimum 2+ years in team leadership roles
• Experience in D2C / Consumer Electronics distribution preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of electronics components/products
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Advanced Excel
• Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain operations
• Must be available for in-office work in Hyderabad
