Job Title: Purchase Import || UPS Manufacturing || Power Electronics

Location: Manesar

Experience: 4-6 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full import purchasing cycle: issuing import purchase orders, tracking shipments, coordinating with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents and customs.
  • Liaise with suppliers (local & international) to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, cost optimization and correct terms.
  • Generate RFQs, compare technical & commercial quotes, prepare comparative statements, negotiate pricing, payment terms, incoterms & logistics costs.
  • Maintain purchase order database, monitor vendor performance (delivery, quality, cost), escalate issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations (customs, duties, IGST/ GST, import documentation, bills of lading, insurance, shipping advices).
  • Coordinate with stores/warehouse to ensure goods receipt (GRN), inspect/resolve discrepancies, update inventory system, reconcile supplier invoices.
  • Work with logistics team to optimize freight/shipping modes, consolidate shipments where possible, track shipments in transit, manage claims for damage/delays.
  • Collaborate with production, planning, quality and finance departments to ensure procurement aligns with manufacturing schedules, avoids production delays and supports cost‐saving initiatives.
  • Prepare and submit procurement / import / vendor performance MIS reports, KPIs (e.g., cost savings, delivery adherence, vendor lead-time, quality rejects).
  • Support vendor development: identify new suppliers, evaluate supplier credentials, visit supplier facilities if required, maintain approved vendor list.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to finalize supplier agreements.
  • Excellent understanding of inventory management processes and techniques.
