Purchase Manager

The Purchase Manager will lead the procurement and supply chain operations of Geometry Home Furniture Manufacturing LLC, ensuring cost-effective, timely, and quality sourcing of raw materials, furniture mechanisms, aluminum profiles, upholstery materials, and other production essentials. The role demands strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and operational expertise to support high-volume, custom furniture production while aligning with company goals and UAE regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Procurement Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with production targets and sales forecasts.
  • Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and alternative sourcing options to maintain competitive procurement advantages.
  • Maintain an updated approved vendor list, including local and international suppliers, with verified compliance.

2. Supplier Management & Negotiation

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials (timber, foam, fabrics, mechanisms, aluminum profiles, etc.).
  • Build long-term relationships with reliable suppliers in the UAE, GCC, and international markets.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of materials without compromising on quality or safety standards.

3. Cost Control & Budgeting

  • Prepare, review, and manage annual procurement budgets.
  • Analyze cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and delivery efficiency.
  • Track and report KPIs for cost optimization, lead times, and supplier performance.

4. Inventory & Logistics Coordination

  • Oversee stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory across all warehouses (L06, L07, L08).
  • Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to optimize storage and dispatch operations.
  • Coordinate logistics for imported materials, ensuring customs clearance and documentation compliance.

5. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure procurement processes comply with UAE regulations, company policies, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Manage contracts, purchase orders, and agreements with proper documentation and record-keeping.
  • Liaise with the finance department for timely supplier payments and credit negotiations.

6. Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor the purchasing team to achieve high performance and accountability.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
  • Foster collaboration across departments for smoother production and delivery cycles.

7. Reporting & Analysis

  • Generate weekly and monthly procurement reports for senior management.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and share data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
  • Provide insights for strategic decisions during management meetings.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 7–10 years in procurement within the furniture manufacturing or industrial production sector; at least 3 years in a senior managerial role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, or Zoho Inventory).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations and UAE customs procedures.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication in English; knowledge of Russian, Hindi/Urdu, or Arabic is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
