The Purchase Manager will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, furniture, fixtures, and fittings required for interior design projects. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor management skills, a keen eye for quality and design compatibility, and experience in the interior design or construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for materials, furnishings, lighting, décor, etc.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and timely deliveries.
- Review project specifications and collaborate with the design and project management teams to understand procurement needs.
- Track inventory and ensure timely replenishment of commonly used items.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information.
- Oversee logistics, delivery schedules, and quality checks upon receipt.
- Manage cost control while maintaining the required standards of quality and design aesthetics.
- Stay updated with new materials, market trends, and pricing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations related to procurement.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration, Interior Design, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or similar role, preferably in interior design, architecture, or construction.
- Strong knowledge of interior materials, furniture, lighting, and décor procurement.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
