Job Title: Purchase Manager – Food Ingredients / Preservatives Industry

Location: Thripunithura, Kochi

Experience Required: Minimum 5–8 years

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee our procurement operations in the food and preservatives industry. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in sourcing, vendor management, and inventory control, with hands-on experience in ERP or SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage purchase operations and ensure timely procurement of raw materials and packaging items.

Conduct stock and rate analysis for cost optimization.

Evaluate and manage vendor performance, negotiate rates, and maintain supplier relationships.

Oversee credit terms and payment schedules with vendors.

Coordinate with accounts and operations teams for purchase booking and stock entries in ERP/SAP.

Monitor stock levels and generate purchase-related reports.

Work closely with production and QA teams to ensure material quality compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 5-8 years of purchase experience in the food or preservatives industry.

Strong knowledge of ERP or SAP; familiarity with Tally is an added advantage.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel and documentation.

Preferred Candidate:

Candidates currently residing in or around Thripunithura, Kochi.

Immediate joiners preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
