Job Title: Purchase Manager – MEPDepartment: Procurement

Job Summary:

The Purchase Manager – MEP will be responsible for managing all procurement activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for construction and infrastructure projects. This role ensures the timely sourcing, negotiation, and delivery of high-quality materials, equipment, and services in line with project budgets and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:1. Procurement Planning & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for MEP materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
  • Prepare and review project-specific procurement plans in coordination with project, engineering, and finance teams.
  • Forecast material requirements and ensure timely availability to prevent project delays.

2. Vendor Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors based on technical capability, quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure consistent supply and favorable terms.
  • Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews.

3. Purchasing Operations:

  • Issue requests for quotations (RFQs), analyze bids, and negotiate terms and conditions to achieve best value.
  • Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Manage purchase orders, contracts, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to track shipments and resolve delivery issues.

4. Cost & Budget Control:

  • Monitor procurement costs and ensure compliance with project budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
  • Maintain procurement records and reports for cost tracking and audit purposes.

5. Technical Coordination:

  • Liaise with design and engineering teams to understand material specifications and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Verify technical submittals and samples with consultants or project engineers.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and suppliers in the MEP field.

6. Compliance & Quality:

  • Ensure all procurement activities meet contractual, statutory, and quality standards.
  • Support sustainability, safety, and environmental compliance initiatives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
