1. Procurement & Purchasing

  • Identify material requirements based on production, RM/PM, and inventory planning.
  • Create purchase orders for raw materials, packing materials, consumables, and services.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all items without affecting production.
  • Maintain strong follow-up with suppliers.

2. Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors.
  • Maintain and update the approved vendor list.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
  • Conduct vendor performance reviews (quality, delivery, pricing, service).

3. Cost Control & Negotiation

  • Achieve competitive pricing through strong negotiation.
  • Analyze price trends and market conditions.
  • Reduce overall procurement cost while maintaining quality.

4. Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare purchase orders, agreements, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
  • Maintain all procurement records in ERP/Tally/Excel.

5. Coordination

  • Coordinate with production for daily/weekly RM/PM requirements.
  • Work closely with stores for stock status and re-order levels.
  • Coordinate with QA for material approval and specifications.
  • Coordinate with accounts for bill passing and vendor payments.

6. Inventory Planning

  • Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels.
  • Plan and schedule purchases based on lead time.
  • Prevent stock-out and overstock situations.

7. Quality Assurance

  • Ensure purchased materials meet required quality standards.
  • Manage rejected or returned materials.
  • Resolve supply issues with vendors.

8. Team Management

  • Lead and supervise the procurement team (buyers, assistants).
  • Allocate work and monitor performance.
  • Improve procurement processes and efficiency.

Experience

  • 8- 15 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, Beverage, pharma, or engineering industry preferred.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • ERP/Tally/Excel knowledge
  • Market research and vendor management
  • Decision-making and problem-solving
  • Understanding of RM/PM, consumables, spare parts

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
