Job Summary:

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing procurement operations, vendor relationships, cost optimization, and ensuring timely availability of materials and services. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, technical understanding, and the ability to drive procurement efficiency in alignment with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies and processes.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors and suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure the timely availability of required materials.
  • Coordinate with production, finance, and other departments to forecast material requirements.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements in all procurement activities.
  • Continuously analyze market trends and supplier performance to optimize procurement operations.
  • Prepare reports on purchase activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team for better performance and productivity.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP or procurement management software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management.
  • Vendor management and contract handling experience.
  • Technical knowledge relevant to engineering materials and components.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
