1. Procurement & Sourcing
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with vendors to optimize procurement cost.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and periodically evaluate supplier performance.
- Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services as per business needs.
2. Inventory & Material Management
- Monitor stock levels to ensure uninterrupted supply and avoid excess inventory.
- Collaborate with production, operations, and finance teams to forecast material requirements.
- Implement inventory control measures, including stock audits and reconciliation.
- Maintain proper documentation for procurement, receipts, and stock movements.
3. Cost & Process Management
- Analyse purchase data and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Prepare periodic reports on purchase activities, expenditure, vendor performance, and savings achieved.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and quality standards.
- Implement best practices in procurement and supply chain processes.
4. Coordination & Leadership
- Coordinate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and timelines.
- Lead and manage a team of procurement/executive staff (if applicable).
- Resolve supplier disputes, delays, and quality issues efficiently.
- Stay updated with market trends, new suppliers, and innovations in sourcing.
