PURCHASE MANAGER
A Purchasing Manager is responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies, tracking metrics to reduce expenses, negotiating deals, and managing vendors. They ensure clear requirements, forecast market trends, mitigate risks, and collaborate with stakeholders. Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills are required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Researching potential vendors
Ø Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers and new suppliers.
Ø Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
Ø Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers
Ø Negotiating contract terms of agreement and pricing
Ø Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
Ø Review the quality of purchased products
Ø Intimation of price changes
Ø Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Ø Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
Ø Communicate with the marketing team to know the changes in the live market.
Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
Ø Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
Ø Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
Ø Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed (Confirm with the Inventory department)
Ø Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
Ø Assess, manage and mitigate risks
Ø Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
Ø Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
Ø Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
Ø Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
